You can feel constantly bombarded with images and visions and messages that say 'only youth is important! everything is terrible when you're older! you'll never have as good a time as you did when you where young!' That's a total load by the way. Getting older is great. Whether or not you're enjoying it more has a lot to do with the lessons you've learned and the choices you can make.
Aside from feeling lovely about my future hubby I have been something of a stressball lately but in just a day many of my worries, doubts and fears have been laid to rest with a few actions and my favourite super power - research! I do a lot but you can always do more!
A thought that keeps from any kind of bridezilla attacks is how lucky I am to be able to marry the person I love, to acknowledge it publicly with the support of friends and family, not persecuted or denied or attacked. This is a privilege my fiance and I enjoy, but should be a right all over the world for couples in love regardless of their sexual preference, ethnicity, religious beliefs or backgrounds. I love vintage style for clothes and homes but not when it comes to human rights!
Now on to some more lovely and positive retro stuff -
The Goodwood Revival! On from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th.
Would love to go along one year, also check out the video section of the website - lots of hair tips!
Exciting news from the Victoria and Albert museum as they showcase a collection celebrating the style of Annie Lennox! There is a good interview with Ms Lennox in the Stylist.
I'm moving to a new part of Glasgow this weekend and look forward to exploring the area for more retro fabulousness!
