my day job has proven to be a pretty exhuasting racket lately due to some extra projects, also I'm moving house and planning a wedding on a shoestring so blogging time has been hard to come by but I have been finding all kinds of lovely vintage things to post.
Wedding planning has jumped up a notch and this past weekend we visited our venue and provisionally booked it - all will be revealed in good time! We had to change our date by one day so from now on we will have a two day anniversary!
I can say there are multiple themes at work. Scottish, forest, vintage...
The wedding dress is probably one of the last things I will get but a great site I've seen is Candy Anthony. Lovely vintage dresses for guests and brides!
In other news, a friend of mine has just launched herself into the world of professional make-up artistry after studying very hard in Glasgow learning how to make people look beautiful, terrifying or spectacular depending on the brief! Her name is Sarah Macinnes, her facebook page is HERE. She is available for all kinds of projects. Below is a great example of her work - see more on her facebook page!
Something I saw over at vintage wedding blog Love My Dress, - Cinemgraph creations - photos that live and move! By Visual Graphics Artist Kevin Burg and photographer Jamie Beck. I think these are beautiful and wonderful and represent the future for fashion shoots viewed on tablets. Unfortunately I don't have the tech to show them as moving images here but they are well worth a look!
Continuing the fashion theme, Lanvin's fall/winter 2011/2012 collection advertising campaign is a thing of joy. Gorgeous models dancing to Pittbull's 'I know you want me' fun, fun, fun!
I do love fun fashion and a good bit of choreography!
A couple more vintage wedding bits - check out this full on wartime vintage wedding in the Daily Mail.
Also Southsea King's Theatre are promoting the fact they are licenced to perform weddings. Sandra Smith, the Kings publicity officer, said: "We want all couples to know that they can get married on the stage and choose whatever theme they like. It can be conventional, or mods and rockers, or a Rocky Horror theme."
