In the news...
Over on Millicent and Carla Fran's website, some of the best Maidenform adverts from over the years.
Here are a couple - check out the rest at Millicent & Carla Frans online pad.
On that note - dresses. I've looked at probably hundreds already online but still in love with the first one I saw (expensive and very 60s), so I'm considering making my own.
Either that or hit up the wonderful -http://www.vivienofholloway.com/ last time I was there I met a bride trying on her wedding dress and she look absolutely amazing! A fabulous place for you bridesmaids and wedding guests too!
While being quite crafty I am in no way proficent at sewing nor confident I could pull off making a wedding dress but maybe I could make something small like a bolero (with a year to practise...) a good place to look is http://sewaholic.net/ - beautiful patterns and designs! Has anyone out there made their own vintage style wedding dress?
Also looking at engagement rings as we weren't sure we were going to do them but I think it'll be a ring for me a watch for him. I'm not a diamond girl so thinking about moonstone - what gemstones do you like? or would you rather a different piece of jewelery to mark the occasion?
My favourite wedding blog is currently www.lovemydress.net/ brilliant ideas!! I'm making as much of the decorations, food etc myself and am trying to be disciplined and organised but well, I do plan on only doing this once so maybe it's ok to let the planning go a bit mad and reign it in next year! xxx
