My natural hair colour is a hazelnut brown and I've been mostly red for many years but have been blonde, bright pink, and purple-black before. On something of a whim this weekend I dyed my hair copper with pink tips. Because... well, why not?
It's a funny thing, I remember going to see that film in Edinburgh with a friend 10 years ago and at the time we both agreed that Clementine was a bit of a wild-card psycho manic pixie type but watching it again I'm on team Clem! She's a bit of a mess after she has her memory wiped but wouldn't you be? For the most part she is honest, up front, flawed and fun. She is a whole person even when she's just a memory. I think I still identify with the sensitive introverted and slightly grumpy Joel but I'm on board with Clem's joie de vivre.
Speaking of manic pixies - Rammy Flowers pretty much fits the bill but despite that I still like her and her hair.
The ends went a light auburn colour and I decided I wanted that for all my hair so did a brief bleach of the lot. Unfortunately I hadn't realised that my current dark red colour had grown out a bit because it's so close to my real colour and ended up with very blonde roots. I had to dye over that with a spicy ginger dye to even it out before I could do the Flamingo Pink tips. Phew! Took aaaalllll day.
Hair is just hair, you can worry too much about this kind of thing - just do what you want with it and do it for you. But use a good conditioner.
And now, because that song never left us - THAT song...
